How to play reversi
Black moves first from four discs in the centre. On each turn you place one disc so that one or more of your opponent's discs lie in a straight line between it and another of your discs; all of those discs flip to your colour, in every direction at once. If you cannot flip anything, you pass. When neither player can move, the player with more discs wins.
Reversi vs gomoku
Both use black and white pieces and Black moves first, but in gomoku stones never change and five in a row wins, while in reversi every move flips discs and only the final count matters.
