Random match

Rule: Shogi (Japanese chess), standard rules. Captured pieces join your hand and can be dropped back on any empty square. Promotion is optional in the last three ranks and required when a piece could not move again. Two unpromoted pawns on one file and a pawn drop that gives immediate checkmate are not allowed. The same position four times is a draw (sennichite), but the player who gave check on every move loses. When both kings have entered the enemy camp, the player to move may declare: under 24 points (rook and bishop 5, every other piece 1) loses, both 24 or more is a draw. Clock: 5 min + 3 × 30 s byo-yomi. After 400 moves the game is a draw, or counted when both kings have entered.
